DAY-01: Delhi
arrival:
Meet and assist
with our GRAND INDIA TOURS representative at airport and transfer
to pre booked hotel in New Delhi. If you are arriving in Morning
New Delhi so can check in at hotel first and there is option
available for the city tour or something related tour activity
like shopping, etc. or day can be free for you without any
transportation for any activity, just stay at hotel.
DAY-02:
Departure 07:30 hrs. for Jaipur:
Today after
breakfast, proceed to Jaipur and you will be visiting 2 places
“JAL MAHAL PALACE & CHOKHI DHANI. Delhi to Jaipur is 6 hours drive
reach Jaipur’s Jal Mahal Palace before check in to hotel.
Jal
Mahal (meaning "Water Palace")
is a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur
city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace and
the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century
by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. Spend there ½ hour at that
palace and later check in to the hotel and go for the lunch, rest
of the time for relax at hotel.
Evening @ 19:00 HRS you will be dropping at Chokhi Dhani.
Chokhi Dhani,
a Rajasthani village themed resort, situated in the outskirts of
Jaipur, is a representation of the culture, traditions and

you will find a

DAY-03: Jaipur

> Amber Fort: @

The
aesthetic ambiance of this formidable fort is seen within its
walls on a four level (each with a courtyard) layout plan in well
turned out opulent palace complex built with red sandstone and
marble consisting of the Diwan-e-Aam or the "Hall of Public
Audience", the Diwan-e-Khas or the "Hall of Private Audience", the
Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace) or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas
where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow
over the water cascade within the palace.
> Jaigarh Fort:
@ 11:00 hrs.
The
fort, rugged and similar in structural design to the Amber Fort,
is also known as Victory Fort. It has a length of 3 kilometres
(1.9 mi) along the north-south direction and a width of 1
kilometre (0.62 mi). The fort features cannon named “Jaivana”,
which was manufactured in the fort precincts and was then the
world's largest.
> Nahargarh
Fort: @ 12:00 hrs.
Nahagarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills,
overlooking the pink city of Jaipur the view of the city from the
fort is breath taking. Along with Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort it
formed a strong defence ring for the city.
> Hawa Mahal: @
13:00 hrs.
"Palace of Winds" or “Palace of the Breeze”), is a palace in
Jaipur, India. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap
Singh, and designed by Lal Chand Usta in the form of the crown of
Krishna, the Hindu god. Its unique five-storey exterior is also
akin to the honeycomb of the beehive with its 953 small windows
called jharokhas that are decorated with intricate latticework.

Complex: @ 14:45 hrs.
City
Palace, Jaipur, which includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal
palaces and other buildings, is a palace complex in Jaipur
city, the capital of the Rajasthan state, India. It was the seat
of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the head of the Kachwaha Rajput clan.
The Chandra Mahal palace now houses a museum but the greatest part
of it is still a royal residence.
> Jantar-Mantar
(Jaipur’s Observatory): @ 15:45 hrs
The
Jantar Mantar is a collection of architectural astronomical
instruments, built by Maharaja (King) Jai Singh II at his then new
capital of Jaipur between 1727 and 1734. It is modeled after the
one that he had built for him at the Mughal capital of Delhi.
Sightseeing places is finished later there is option to get back
to the hotel for relaxation or you can be free for the shopping in
the traditional place called ‘PINK CITY”. Jaipur markets are open
till 20:00 hrs. Throughout the year for the shopping. Jaipur is
also known as a shopping paradise.

DAY
04: Jaipur – Ajmer - Pushkar (By Road)
Today after breakfast proceed to Ajmer & Pushkar by road. Reach
Ajmer check in to the hotel and
Being
surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains, Ajmer is an oasis wrapped in
the green hills. Ajmer is a popular pilgrimage centre for the
Hindus as well as Muslims. Especially famous is the Dargah Sharif-Tomb
of the Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, which is equally
revered by the Hindus and Muslims. Ajmer is a centre of culture
and education. Ajmer is also the base for visiting Pushkar
(11 km.), the abode of Lord Brahma, lying to its west with a
temple and a picturesque lake.
Visit
at: Dargāh Sharīf of Khwāja Mu'īnuddīn Chishtī is situated
at the foot of the Tārāgaṛh hill, and consists of several white
marble buildings arranged around two courtyards, including a
massive gate donated by the Nizām of Hyderabad, a mosque donated
by the Mughal emperor Shāh Jahān, the Akbarī Mosque, and the domed
tomb of the saint.
Later
proceed to Pushkar, check in at hotel for Overnight stay.
DAY
05 : Pushkar - Bikaner
Today after breakfast leave hotel and proceed to Pushkar city tour
(4 hours complete tour) in the morning. Pushkar
is
often called "Tirth Raj" - the king of pilgrimage sites - and has
in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists.
Pushkar is one of the oldest cities of India. It lies on the shore
of Pushkar Lake. The date of its actual origin is not known, but
legend associates Lord Brahma with its creation. It is mentioned
that Brahma performed penance here for 60,000 years to have a
glimpse of Vishnu.
Visit
in Brahma Temple: The most important temple in Pushkar is the
Temple of Lord Brahma, one of the holy trinity of Hinduism. In
fact it is the only Hindu shrine in the world where Lord Brahma is
worshipped. The temple enshrines a life-size idol of Lord Brahma.
& Pushkar Lake: The prime attraction of Pushkar is the Pushkar
Lake which is considered sacred like the Mansarovar Lake in Tibet.
Pushkar has become a place of Hindu pilgrimage because of this
holy lake. Legend has it that this lake was consecrated to Lord
Brahma, the creator of the universe when a lotus dropped from his
hand into the vale and a lake emerged in that place.
Later
you proceed to Bikaner. After 5 hours journey you will be checking
at hotel.
Stay
overnight in Bikaner.
DAY-06:
Bikaner City Tour:
Today after
breakfast go the city sightseeing and visit following places in
Bikaner:
Junagarh Fort
The fort was built by Raja Rai Singh, the sixth ruler of Bikaner
who reigned from 1571 to 1612. Rai Singh had conquered part of
Marwar and had been granted territory in Gujurat and Burhanpur by
the Mughal emperor Akbar as a reward for his services as military
commander.
Laxmi Niwas Palace
The Laxmi Niwas Palace is a former residential palace of the king
of the former Bikaner state, Maharajah Ganga Singh in Bikaner in
the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was designed by the British
architect, Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob in the year 1902.
Lalgarh Palace
Lalgarh Palace was built between 1902 and 1926 according to Rajput,
Mughal and European architectural styles. The building was
commissioned by Maharaja Ganga Singh (1889–1925) in memory of his
father Maharaja Lall Singh and was designed by the British
architect, Sir Swinton Jacob.
Bhandasar Jain Temple
Out of the 27 beautiful Jain Temples adorning the landscape of
Bikaner city, this temple dedicated to 5th Tirthankar Lord
Sumatinath is considered to be the most beautiful and also the
highest. This temple was built by a Jain merchant Bhanda Shah.
Kolayat
Kolayat is a famous pilgrimage spot with a temple dedicated to
Kapila who, according to his devotees, sat in meditation near the
lake. One week before Pushkar Festival and till one week later
this lake is more interesting if you like to see Sadhus. Pushkar
will have some Sadhus but Kolayat will have many hundreds.
Camel Festival (Available only on January, throughout the year)
The Bikaner Camel Festival is an event organized by the Department
of Tourism, Art and Culture, of Bikaner, Government of Rajasthan.
It takes place every year in the month of January. At this
festival the "ships of the desert" are seen at their best. Some
spectacular and unusual camel performances like camel races, camel
dances, and the bumpy, neck shaking camel rides take place at this
event.
After sightseeing return to hotel for overnight stay in Bikaner.
DAY-07:
Bikaner – Jodhpur (By road)
Today after
breakfast check out from hotel to proceed to Jodhpur. Visit
Enroute to:
Karni Mata Temple (Rat Temple)
The
world famous shrine of Karni Mata can be found in the town of
Deshnoke 30 km south from Bikaner on the road to Jodhpur. Karni
Mata is worshiped as an incarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple
is famous for rats which can be seen everywhere in the temple.
Check
in to the hotel in Jodhpur.

JODHPUR
it
was formerly the seat of a princely state of the same name, the
capital of the kingdom known as Marwar. Jodhpur is a popular
tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples,
set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert.
The city is known the Sun City for the bright, sunny
weather it enjoys all year. It is also referred to as the Blue
City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh
Fort. Jodhpur lies near the geographic centre of Rajasthan state,
which makes it a convenient base for travel in a region much
frequented by tourists.
Late
afternoon you can be see the Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur: The fort
is situated 400 feet (122 m) above the city and is enclosed by
imposing thick walls. Inside its boundaries there are several
palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive
courtyards. A winding road leads to and from the city below. The
imprints of cannonball hits by attacking armies of Jaipur can
still be seen on the second gate. To the left of the fort is the
chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot
defending the Mehrangarh fort.
After
Mehrangarh Fort sightseeing return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day-08: Jodhpur – Delhi (By Air)
Today
wake up bit early in the morning have breakfast and check out from
the hotel. Visit to the following places in Jodhpur and later
transfer to the airport to catch the flight for New Delhi:
Umaid
Bhavan Palace:
One of the fascinating palaces of Jodhpur is the Umaid Bhavan
palace. Maharaja Umaid Singh constructed it in 20th century. A
part of the palace has now been converted into a hotel and a
museum.
Jaswant Thada:
Jaswant Thada lies to the left of the Mehrangarh fort complex. It
is a royal cenotaph made up of white marble. It was built to
commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh. Some rare portraits of the
former rulers of Jodhpur are also displayed here.
Reach Delhi

DAY-09: Delhi

Laxmi Narayana Temple.
The
temple is adorned with many shrines, fountains, and a large
garden. The temple is one of the major attractions of Delhi and
attracts thousands of devotees on the Hindu festivals of
Janmashtami and Diwali.
> India Gate:
The
India Gate is the national monument of India. Situated in
the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin
Lutyens. It was built in 1931. Originally known as All India War
Memorial, it is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the
90,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives
while fighting for the British Indian Empire, or more correctly
the British Raj in World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War.
> Parliament
House:
The
Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body in India.
Founded in 1919, the Parliament alone possesses legislative
supremacy and thereby ultimate power over all political bodies in
India.
> Jantar Mantar:
The
Jantra Mantra (literally the 'instrument and formula' and
often called the Jantar Mantar), is located in the modern
city of New Delhi, Delhi. It consists of 13 architectural
astronomy instruments, built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur,
from 1724 onwards, and is one of five built by him, as he was
given by Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah the task of revising the
calendar and astronomical tables.
> Rajghaat:
Raj
Ghat is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. It is a black marble
platform that marks the spot of Gandhiji's cremation on 31 January
1948. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns
perpetually at one end. It is located on the banks of the river
Yamuna in Delhi in India on Ring Road officially known as Mahatma
Gandhi Road.
> Red Fort:
The
Red Fort usually transcribed into English as Lal Qil'ah
or Lal Qila) is a 17th century fort complex constructed by
the lal qila in the walled city of Old Delhi (in present day
Delhi, India) that served as the residence of the Imperial Family
of India. It also served as the capital of the Mughals until 1857,
when Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by the British
Indian government. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site
in 2007.
> Jama Masjid:
Delhi, is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. Commissioned
by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and
completed in the year 1628 AD, it is the largest and best-known
mosque in India. It lies at the origin of a very busy central
street of Old Delhi, the Chawri Bazar Road.
> Qutub Minar:
The
Qutub Minar is a tower located in Delhi, India. It is the
world's tallest brick minaret with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8
ft). Construction commenced by Qutb-ud-din Aibak who won Delhi
from Prithviraj under Muhammad Ghori as his commander in chief,
and finished by Iltutmish.
> Lotus Temple:
The
Bahá'í House of Worship in Delhi, India, popularly known as
the Lotus Temple due to its flowerlike shape, is a Bahá'í
House of Worship and also a prominent attraction in Delhi. It was
completed in 1986 and serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian
subcontinent.
> Akshardham
Temple:
Akshardham is a Hindu temple complex in Delhi, India. Also
referred to as Delhi Akshardham or Swaminarayan
Akshardham, the complex displays millennia of traditional
Indian and Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture.
