Day 01 Mumbai (Arrival):
On Arrival Mumbai international airport. Meet & greet our
representative at Mumbai Airport and transfer to the hotel in
Mumbai. Day-Night free for the personal activities. Overnight stay
in Mumbai.
Day 02
Mumbai City Tour
Today after
breakfast proceed to Mumbai sightseeing tour and cover major
tourist places of Mumbai within the 8 hours. Back to the hotel
overnight stay Mumbai.
Day 03
Mumbai - Elephant Caves - Mumbai
Today after
breakfast proceed to Elephanta Caves 3-4 hours return trip. By the
boat through sea you reach at Elephanta Caves.
Why Elephanta?
The
Elephanta Caves are a network of sculpted caves located on
Elephanta Island, or Gharapuri (literally "the city of
caves") in Mumbai Harbour, 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) to the east of
the city of Mumbai. The main cave (Cave 1, or the Great Cave) was
a Hindu place of worship until Portuguese rule began in 1534,
after which the caves suffered severe damage. This cave was
renovated in the 1970s after years of neglect, and was designated
a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987 to preserve the artwork.
Day 04: Mumbai to Cochin
Today
morning transfer to the airport to catch the flight for Kochi or
Cochin. Arrive at Cochin
International Airport where our representative
meets you and transfers you to the hotel. Check into hotel and
leave for a city sightseeing tour that includes visit to Fort
Cochin, Santa Cruz Basilica, Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, St.
Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets. Return to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 05: Cochin - Munnar
Morning check out from hotel and continue drive to Munnar (4½
hours), the beautiful hill station of Kerala. Transfer to hotel on
arrival. Spend the remaining day at leisure and enjoy picturesque
landscapes. Visit the aromatic tea plantations or indulge in
thrilling sport activities like paragliding. Night stay at hotel.
Day 06 - Munnar
Day
3 of Kerala Tour Itinerary is devoted to sightseeing in and around
Munnar. Enjoy panoramic views of Anaimudi, the highest peak of
South India at 2695 m, is visible from Munnar. Visit the Christ
Church and proceed for wildlife watching at Eravikulam National
Park (16 km). Continue to Rajamala Hills lying adjacent to the
park and stop by at Madupetty Dam, a famous picnic spot for
boating and horse riding en route to Top Station. Return to hotel
for overnight stay.
Day 07: Munnar - Thekkady (Periyar)
Leave for Periyar in the morning (4 hours) and transfer to hotel
on arrival. You may opt for a pleasant boat ride along the Periyar
Lake in the evening. Enjoy watching varied birds and animals like
tigers, elephants, wild boar, deer, etc at the Periyar/Thekkady
National Park. You can also visit a few tribal villages around
Periyar and witness fascinating activities of tribals collecting
honey from dangerous hill bees. Return to hotel at night.
Day 08: Thekkady - Kumarakom
Leave for Kumarakom (3½ hours) on day 5 of Kerala Tour Itinerary.
Check in at backwater resort on arrival. Spend the rest of the day
at leisure at the picturesque backwaters that form one of the
major attractions of Kerala. Overnight at the resort.
Day 09: Kumarakom
Day
free for leisure activities. A boat ride into the countryside,
visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, adventure thrills in water
sports like wind sailing and water skiing or canoeing at the lake.
Night at resort.
Day 10: Kumarakom - Alleppey
Day
7 of your Kerala Tour Itinerary takes you on an enthralling
houseboat cruise. Morning transfer to Kottayam and board the
luxurious houseboat for an overnight journey along the tranquil
Kerala backwaters to Alleppey.
Day 11: Alleppey - Kovalam
Disembark from the houseboat at Alleppey and transfer to Kovalam.
Check in to hotel near the beach upon arrival. Day free to spend
at leisure on the beach. Enjoy playing with the golden sands or
take a swim in the shallow water. A soothing sunbath is a perfect
option to unwind. The more adventurous ones can enjoy thrilling
beach sports. An Ayurvedic massage can also be availed (optional).
Return to hotel at night.
Day 12: Kovalam
The
next morning of Kerala Tour Itinerary takes you from the beaches
to Cape Camorin where you will visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and
the Archeological Museum. Return to Kovalam hotel at evening for
an overnight stay.
Day 13: Kovalam - Trivandrum - Mumbai - Home
Leave for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum after breakfast. The
main attraction is Padmanabhaswami Temple, one of the 108
pilgrimage sites for the Vaishnavites. The exquisite carvings on
its 400 pillars is notable. Proceed to the airport to board
scheduled flight back Mumbai airport. Later transfer to the hotel
for night stay.
Day 14:
Mumbai - Departure:
Today
transferring to the International airport to get fly back home.
