Haridwar/Rishikesh is an important pilgrimage city and
municipality in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, India. The
River Ganges, after flowing for 253 kilometres (157 mi) from its
source at Gaumukh at the edge of the Gangotri Glacier, enters the
Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time at
Haridwar, which gave the city its ancient name, Gangadwára.
DAY-01:
New
Delhi arrival:
Meet and assist

like shopping, etc. or day can be free for you without any

DAY-02:
DELHI TO
HARIDWAR-RISHIKESH: (BY ROAD) – 5 HRS. JOURNEY Depart @ 08:00 hrs.
After breakfast
proceed to India’s Holy cities Haridwar & Rishkesh. Firstly visit
Har Ki Pauri is
a
sacred Ghat was constructed by King Vikramaditya (1st century BC)
in memory of his brother Bhrithari. It is believed that Bhrithari
came to Haridwar and meditated on the banks of the holy Ganges.
When he died, his brother constructed a Ghat in his name, which
later came to be known as Har-Ki-Pauri. The most sacred ghat
within Har-ki-Pauri is Brahmakund.
The next Holy
place to visit in Haridwar is Bharat Mata Temple.
Bharat Mata
Temple
in Haridwar
is a
multi-storey temple dedicated to Bharat Mata (Mother
India). Bharat Mata Mandir was inaugurated on 15 May 1983
by Indira Gandhi on the banks of the river Ganges. It is situated
adjacent to the Smanvaya Ashram, and stands eight stories
tall to a height of 180 feet (55 m). Each floor depicts an era in
the Indian history, from the days of Ramayan until India's
independence.

to Rishikesh ½ hour drive from Haridwar. Rishikesh
is also known as the gateway to the Himalayas and is located
around 25 kilometers north of another holy city, Haridwar.

RISHIKESH
SIGHTSEEING:
Today after
breakfast visit temples, ghats, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, boat ride
on Ganges river, attend famous holy worship called AARTI near at
Ramjhula, free for shopping in Rishikesh return to hotel for
overnight stay.
DAY-04:
RISHIKESH –
DELHI RETURN:
Today check out
from the hotel aprox @ 10:00 hours and proceed to Delhi. Stay
overnight in Delhi.
DAY-05:

> Birla Temple:

Also called The
Laxmi Narayana Temple.
The
temple is adorned with many shrines, fountains, and a large
garden. The temple is one of the major attractions of Delhi and
attracts thousands of devotees on the Hindu festivals of
Janmashtami and Diwali.
> India Gate:
The
India Gate is the national monument of India. Situated in
the heart of New Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin
Lutyens. It was built in 1931. Originally known as All India War
Memorial, it is a prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the
90,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who lost their lives
while fighting for the British Indian Empire, or more correctly
the British Raj in World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War.
> Parliament
House:
The
Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body in India.
Founded in 1919, the Parliament alone possesses legislative
supremacy and thereby ultimate power over all political bodies in
India.
> Jantar Mantar:
The
Jantra Mantra (literally the 'instrument and formula' and
often called the Jantar Mantar), is located in the modern
city of New Delhi, Delhi. It consists of 13 architectural
astronomy instruments, built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur,
from 1724 onwards, and is one of five built by him, as he was
given by Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah the task of revising the
calendar and astronomical tables.
> Rajghaat:
Raj
Ghat is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. It is a black marble
platform that marks the spot of Gandhiji's cremation on 31 January
1948. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns
perpetually at one end. It is located on the banks of the river
Yamuna in Delhi in India on Ring Road officially known as Mahatma
Gandhi Road.
> Red Fort:
The
Red Fort usually transcribed into English as Lal Qil'ah
or Lal Qila) is a 17th century fort complex constructed by
the lal qila in the walled city of Old Delhi (in present day
Delhi, India) that served as the residence of the Imperial Family
of India. It also served as the capital of the Mughals until 1857,
when Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by the British
Indian government. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site
in 2007.
> Jama Masjid:
Delhi, is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. Commissioned
by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and
completed in the year 1628 AD, it is the largest and best-known
mosque in India. It lies at the origin of a very busy central
street of Old Delhi, the Chawri Bazar Road.
> Qutub Minar:
The
Qutub Minar is a tower located in Delhi, India. It is the
world's tallest brick minaret with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8
ft). Construction commenced by Qutb-ud-din Aibak who won Delhi
from Prithviraj under Muhammad Ghori as his commander in chief,
and finished by Iltutmish.
> Lotus Temple:
The
Bahá'í House of Worship in Delhi, India, popularly known as
the Lotus Temple due to its flowerlike shape, is a Bahá'í
House of Worship and also a prominent attraction in Delhi. It was
completed in 1986 and serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian
subcontinent.
> Akshardham
Temple:
Akshardham is a Hindu temple complex in Delhi, India. Also
referred to as Delhi Akshardham or Swaminarayan
Akshardham, the complex displays millennia of traditional
Indian and Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture.
Evening free
