Day 01 Arrival at Delhi:
You will be transferring to the hotel in Delhi from Delhi Airport.
Check in at hotel. Day is free for personal activities. Overnight
stay in Delhi.
Day 2 Delhi City Tour:
Morning after breakfast you will be visiting Delhi tourist places.
1. Birla Temple:
Hindu temple dedicated to Laxminarayan in Delhi, India. The temple
is built in honor of Lakshmi (Hindu goddess of wealth), and her
consort Narayana (Vishnu, Preserver in the Trimurti).
2. Jama Masjid (Mosque):
commonly known as Jama
Masjid, is the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Commissioned by
the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656, it
is one of the largest and best known mosques in India.
3. Humayun’s Tomb:
is the tomb of the Mughal
Emperor Humayun. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's wife
Hamida Banu Begum in 1562 CE, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyath,
a Persian architect.
4. India Gate:
Situated along the ceremonial Rajpath avenue (meaning
King's Way) in New Delhi, India Gate is a memorial raised
in honour of the Indian soldiers who died during the Afghan wars
and World War I.
5. Red Fort: The
decision for constructing the Red Fort was made in 1639,
when Shah Jahan decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi.
6. Qutab Minar:
The Qutub Minar is located in a Mehrauli in South Delhi. It
was built by Qutb-ud-din Aibak of the Slave Dynasty, who took
possession of Delhi in 1206. It is a fluted red sandstone tower,
which tapers up to a height of 72.5 meters and is covered with
intricate carvings and verses from the Qur'an.
7. Lotus temple:
Temple
is a Bahai's House of Worship, situated in
South Delhi and shaped like a lotus. It was built by the Bahá'í
community.
After sightseeing back to hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Delhi/Chandigarh/Parivar Vichhora/Anandpur Sahib/Chandigarh
Drive to Chandigarh ( 238 kms/05 hours). Check in at hotel.
Afternoon visit Parivar Vichorra ( 52 kms/02 hrs ) and drive to
Anandpur Sahib ( 30 kms/01 hr ) - fortress temple situated on the
left bank of the river Satluj founded by the ninth Sikh guru ,
Guru Tegh Bahadur. It was here that the Sikh religion acquired its
final military character. Drive back to Chandigarh. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 4: Drive Chandigarh / Amritsar
Morning sightseeing tour of Chandigarh , visiting the Museum ,
High Court , Assembly Chamber and Rock Garden. Afternoon drive to
Amritsar ( 250 kms/06.50 hrs ) , situated on the north - western
border of the country. The 400 years old city , founded by the
fourth guru of the Sikhs , Guru Ramdas , has been the seat of the
Sikh religion and culture from its very inception. It is renowned
for the famous Golden Temple. Amritsar , literally - 'Pool of
Nectar' , erives its name from the holy pond around the temple.
The land for the pool was gifted by the Moghul Emperor Akbar.
Check in at hotel on arrival. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 : In Amritsar
Morning a half-day tour of Amritsar City. Rest of the day is at
leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 : In Amritsar
Morning a half-day tour of Amritsar City. Rest of the day is at
leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 : Train Amritsar / Delhi
Morning you are transferred to the railway station to board train
to Delhi. On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. Rest of
the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 : Depart Delhi
Today you are transferred to the airport to board your flight for.
