Arrive
New Delhi:
Meet and
assist with our Grand India tours representative at airport and
transfer to pre booked hotel in New Delhi. If you are arriving in
Morning New Delhi so can check in at hotel first and there is
option available for the city tour or something related tour
activity like shopping, etc. or day can be free for you without
any transportation for any activity, just stay at hotel.
DAY-02:
Delhi
to Shimla (By Road or By Train):
Delhi to
Shimla Departure time: 8 am from Delhi. Stay overnight in Shimla.
In
1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of the British Raj in
India. A popular tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to
as the "Queen of Hills," a term coined by the British. Located in
the north-west Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 metres
(7,234 ft), the city of Shimla, draped in forests of pine,
rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold,
snowy winters. The city is famous for its buildings styled in
tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture dating from the colonial
era. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the
longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India the
Kalka-Shimla Railway.
DAY-03:
Shimla

Full day
sightseeing in Shimla. The Mall, The Ridge way, Christ Church,
Summer Hill, Kufri & Tattapani excursion. Stay overnight in
Shimla.
DAY-04:
Shimla
to Manali:
Shimla to
Manali Departure @ 8am
Manali
(alt. 1,950 m or 6,398 ft), in the Beas River valley, is an
important hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh,
India, near the northern end of the Kullu Valley. It is located
about 250 kilometres (155 mi) north of state capital, Shimla.
Manali is administratively a part of the Kullu district, with
population of approx. 30,000. The small town was the beginning of
an ancient trade route to Ladakh and, from there, over the
Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin. Manali
and the surrounding area are of great significance to Indian
culture and heritage as it is said to be the home of the Saptarshi,
or Seven Sages.

DAY-05:

sightseeing in Manali and visiting the following tourist
attractions:

HADIMBA TEMPLE (1 km) :
Built in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it
is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway.

MANU TEMPLE (2 km) :
This is dedicated to the sage Manu situated at old Manali.
·
VASHISTH (3 km) :
Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to
the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama.
·
MONASTERIES :
There are three recently built Tibetan monasteries at Manali.
·
JAGATSUKH (6 km) :
The one time capital of Kullu. Here are old temples dedicated to
Lord Shiva and to Sandhya Gayatri. The Arjun caves are just ahead.

SOLANG VALLEY(14 km) :
In a picturesque setting this has good ski slopes and picnic
spots.

TOWARDS THE ROHTANG PASS :
On the road to Keylong is the Nehru Kund (6km) which is a clear
water spring scenic spot named after the Late Pt. Jawaharlal
Nehru. Kothi (12km) is a picturesque village and has a thrilling
view of the deep gorge through which the Beas swiftly races. The
beautiful Rahalla falls (16km) are at at altitude of 2500m. A
crucial link on the old trade route and still the gateway to trans
Himalayan Lahaul, the Rohtang Pass is at height of 3978 m.

The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a
roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a
bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.Bungee
jumping is also provided.

Himachal Tourism also runs the Juniper cafe and Chandratal
restaurants at Manali.

DAY-06:
Manali
to Manikaran – Manali:
Manali to
Manikaran-MANALI city excursion tour.
Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs. The Hindus
believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the
flood, making it a sacred area. It has many temples and a
gurudwara. There are temples of Lord Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu.
The area is well-known for its hot springs and its beautiful
landscape.
According to legend, when Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati were
walking in the valley, Parvati dropped one of her earrings. The
jewel was seized by Shesha, the serpent deity, who then
disappeared into the earth with it. Shesha only surrendered the
jewel when Shiva performed the cosmic dance, the Tandava and shot
the jewel up through the water.

to Delhi return:
Return from
Manali to Delhi. Stay overnight in Delhi only.
DAY-08:

Delhi City tour start 7 am visit the following places in Delhi or
New Delhi:

Also
called The Laxmi Narayana Temple.
The temple is adorned
with many shrines, fountains, and a large garden. The temple is
one of the major attractions of Delhi and attracts thousands of
devotees on the Hindu festivals of Janmashtami and Diwali.

India Gate:
The India Gate
is the national monument of India. Situated in the heart of New
Delhi, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It was built
in 1931. Originally known as All India War Memorial, it is a
prominent landmark in Delhi and commemorates the 90,000 soldiers
of the British Indian Army who lost their lives while fighting for
the British Indian Empire, or more correctly the British Raj in
World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War.

Parliament House:
The Parliament of
India is the supreme legislative body in India. Founded in 1919,
the Parliament alone possesses legislative supremacy and thereby
ultimate power over all political bodies in India.

Jantar Mantar:
The Jantra Mantra
(literally the 'instrument and formula' and often called the
Jantar Mantar), is located in the modern city of New Delhi,
Delhi. It consists of 13 architectural astronomy instruments,
built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur, from 1724 onwards, and
is one of five built by him, as he was given by Mughal emperor
Muhammad Shah the task of revising the calendar and astronomical
tables.

Rajghaat:
Raj Ghat is a
memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. It is a black marble platform that
marks the spot of Gandhiji's cremation on 31 January 1948. It is
left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at
one end. It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna in Delhi
in India on Ring Road officially known as Mahatma Gandhi Road.

Fort:
The Red Fort
usually transcribed into English as Lal Qil'ah or Lal
Qila) is a 17th century fort complex constructed by the lal
qila in the walled city of Old Delhi (in present day Delhi, India)
that served as the residence of the Imperial Family of India. It
also served as the capital of the Mughals until 1857, when Mughal
emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by the British Indian
government. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in
2007.
> Jama
Masjid:
Delhi, is the
principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. Commissioned by the Mughal
Emperor Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal, and completed in the
year 1628 AD, it is the largest and best-known mosque in India. It
lies at the origin of a very busy central street of Old Delhi, the
Chawri Bazar Road.

Qutub Minar:
The Qutub Minar
is a tower located in Delhi, India. It is the world's tallest
brick minaret with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8 ft).
Construction commenced by Qutb-ud-din Aibak who won Delhi from
Prithviraj under Muhammad Ghori as his commander in chief, and
finished by Iltutmish.

Lotus Temple:
The Bahá'í House
of Worship in Delhi, India, popularly known as the Lotus
Temple due to its flowerlike shape, is a Bahá'í House of
Worship and also a prominent attraction in Delhi. It was completed
in 1986 and serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian
subcontinent.

Akshardham is a Hindu
temple complex in Delhi, India. Also referred to as Delhi
Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham, the complex
displays millennia of traditional Indian and Hindu culture,
spirituality, and architecture.
